- Absence of the right of withdrawal
The sales contract stipulates that the system is manufactured ad hoc and subjected to accurate testing.
Since this is a custom-made system containing parts (such as the reverse osmosis membrane and filters) that cannot be restored to their original condition once installed, the Purchaser is informed that this sales contract is not covered by the right of withdrawal (which would in any case only apply if the Purchaser is a physical person). The Purchaser therefore declares that they are aware of this and acknowledge that this purchase is not covered by the right of withdrawal.
- Warranty
The warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of delivery of the system. For the warranty to be valid, a copy of the final installation and testing report, duly completed and signed by the installer, must be returned to the seller.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and related replacement parts; the warranty does not cover shipping costs, labour and parts subject to wear and tear such as filters and membranes. The warranty does not cover situations resulting from normal wear and tear due to time and use of the system.
- Discharge of liability
The Purchaser releases the seller from liability for damage to persons and property resulting from incorrect installation, failure to test or incorrect use of the watermaker, and from faults or defects not detected at the time of installation and testing.
The Purchaser releases the Seller from liability for delays in the delivery of the system or spare parts due to transport delays, technical or administrative problems, or other unforeseen circumstances of various kinds, provided that the Seller undertakes to do its best to meet the agreed deadlines.
- Changes to the Terms
Urania reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. The changes will be posted on the website and will be effective from the moment of publication.
- Applicable Law
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ascertain and comply with the legislation in force relating to the place of installation and the methods and purposes of use of the desalination plant. The Buyer therefore releases the Seller from any liability arising from any failure to comply with such legislation.
