Modular system
The watermaker consists of separate modules that can be installed to make the best use of the space available on the boat. The component table shows the space requirements. The individual modules are supplied pre-assembled and tested in the laboratory. The cables and pipes required for the system are also supplied.
Installation
The installer must position the watermaker modules on board the vessel, connecting pipes and cables, and carry out final testing in accordance with the installation manual.
Installation requirements
A water intake (below the waterline) of the type shown in the figure (for use of the watermaker even while sailing) and a sea drain (above the waterline) are required. The system must be installed below the waterline. A 12V or 24V power source is required that can supply continuous power equal to or greater than that indicated in the table.
Safety and performance with power inverters
The watermaker operates with a power inverter that powers a high-performance 230V motor for non-stop use. The advantage is the low current consumption. Similar 12V motors would require currents close to 100A, large electrical cables, would be subject to potential overheating and failure, and would not allow continuous use of the system for several hours.
Warranty
The warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. In order for it to be valid, the installation and testing report, duly completed by the installer, must be returned.
