Modular system

The watermaker consists of separate modules that can be installed to make the best use of the space available on the boat. The component table shows the space requirements. The individual modules are supplied pre-assembled and tested in the laboratory. The cables and pipes required for the system are also supplied.

Installation

The installer must position the watermaker modules on board the vessel, connecting pipes and cables, and carry out final testing in accordance with the installation manual.

Installation requirements

A water intake (below the waterline) of the type shown in the figure (for use of the watermaker while sailing) and a sea drain (above the waterline) are required. Some components of the system must be installed below the waterline for optimal operation. A 230V power source capable of delivering continuous power equal to or greater than that indicated in the table and adequate peak power is required. Even with a portable generator, the UM-ES watermaker has low energy consumption, making it ideal for installation on small and medium-sized boats. It can also be powered by a portable power generator, which is easily available on the market.

Versions

The ‘UM-ES’ series watermakers are available in versions with brass or technopolymer high-pressure pumps, configurations with one or two vessels and capacities of 40 or 70 l/h.

Warranty

The warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and, in order for it to be valid, the installation and testing report must be returned, duly completed by the installer.
